Located in Teşvikiye, in a location with a high density of niche food and beverage venues, Spada has long been a frequent destination for coffee regulars. In the space, which constitutes a total indoor area of 36m2 including the mezzanine floor, the general layout concept was created by designing the main service counter in a fluid form and angle to maximize the counter area and regulate circulation by directing guests to the stairs leading to the mezzanine
The main counter, consisting of a composition of porcelain, ceramic, and wood materials together, also became the primary determinant of the colors and textures that form the identity of the space. The wood paneling used on one wall in the interior was utilized to conceal certain infrastructure elements and to create shelf areas for display purposes and hidden cabinets for storage. The plan, which offers a more isolated seating/working area on the upper floor and a more social use intertwined with the outside on the lower floor, also maximizes the seating capacity depending on the usage pattern.
In the exterior area of the cafe, where many custom detail solutions were created in a small space, there are vertical windbreaker elements that can be closed/opened or even completely removed depending on the need. These elements can be attached to each other and stacked at the very back
